DIOCESAN 75th ANNIVERSARY FUNDRAISING GOAL
$150,000

  • Episcopal Relief & Development's fundraising goal is $7.5 million by the end of 2015.
  • The Diocesan fundraising goal is $150,000 by the end of 2015. This represents only $5 per church member. The amount spent by Episcopal Relief & Development on SANDY RELIEF in the Diocese of new Jersey to date is nearly $1 million; more than 6 times the amount we, as a Diocese, are trying to raise as part of the 75th Anniversary Campaign.

Overall Goals of the 75th Anniversary Celebration

  • Celebrate the History and Collective Accomplishments of Episcopal Relief & Development. Thank people for their generosity and raise awareness about what is being done, how it is being done, and the difference it is making in the world.
  • Pray for our partners and this critical mission.
  • Learn about our work through 75 stories and Christian formation resources.
  • Act: Invest in the future of the Episcopal Relief by supporting the 75th Campaign.

Diocesan Campaign Fundraising Plan

  • Time frame: Churches are encouraged to start their campaigns the first Sunday of advent on November 30th, 2014. The official launch will be at the 2015 Diocesan Convention on February 27th, 2015. The campaign conclusion is December 31, 2015 with a Diocesan-wide Celebration at the 2016 Convention.
  • Use of funds: The Diocese is focusing its efforts on the 75th Anniversary Fund. This unrestricted fund will be used to fight hunger, poverty, and disease around the world.

Individual church groups can target their fundraising efforts to either the 75th Anniversary Fund or one of the more narrowly defined fundraising initiatives. All fundraising efforts will count toward the overall Diocesan $150,000 goal.
